{"id":735,"date":"2010-07-07T09:12:01","date_gmt":"2010-07-07T08:12:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.superheroines.net\/blog\/?p=735"},"modified":"2010-07-07T12:26:07","modified_gmt":"2010-07-07T11:26:07","slug":"735","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/superheroines.net\/blog\/2010\/07\/735\/","title":{"rendered":"Taking on UltraSexyHeroines, SuperheroineFilms and SuperheroinePeril"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>All,<\/p>\n<p>I have a couple of announcements to make which I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m excited about and you guys may find interesting.<\/p>\n<p>As you are all aware, I am the owner, webmaster, producer, etc for my SuperSexyHeroines.com website.<\/p>\n<p>In addition I have always been open about my involvement with websites including UltraSexyHeroines.com, SuperheroineFilms.com and now SuperheroinePeril.com. I provide the costumes, help with the stories, help with the websites every-so-often, and share model\/actress details.<\/p>\n<p>The two sets of guys (one is a photographer, and the other are videographers) got into the superheroine genre and setup their websites on my recommendation. I helped them of course, and the websites have all been successful to a degree.<\/p>\n<p>However, both guys now feel that they\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve taken their respective websites as far as they can. This didn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t happen both at the same time &#8211; I speak to them both regularly and this process has been on-going since the start of 2010.<\/p>\n<h3>I believe the limitations are:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>they are not into the superheroine genre like I am\n<\/li>\n<li>they have other commercial work that will always get priority\n<\/li>\n<li>the resources they can draw upon &#8211; like models\/actresses, costumes, stories, locations, website development &#8211; is limited\n<\/li>\n<li>they do not have the time to dedicate to email support, new photoshoots, etc\n<\/li>\n<li>because of the above, they are getting very very little financial reward for the amount of time and energy put in\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>So, since the beginning of this year I have been talking to both website owners about taking over the running of these websites completely. I would have control over the websites, promotion, direction of the content, email support, and more.<\/p>\n<p>Of course the original owners will still have a significant part to play because they\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re the ones that take the photos (UltraSexyHeroines) or shoot the films (SuperheroineFilms.com). The major change with the content production is that I will now be telling them what to actually shoot\/film.<\/p>\n<h3>So&#8230;. my news is<\/h3>\n<p>So, as of 1st July 2010 I am the proud owner of three new websites to add to my own website:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>UltraSexyHeroines.com\n<\/li>\n<li>SuperheroineFilms.com\n<\/li>\n<li>SuperheroinePeril.com\n<\/li>\n<li>SuperSexyHeroines.com\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>So what does this mean for members<\/h3>\n<p>a) <strong>Websites will get better<\/strong> &#8211; I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m hoping that by taking on the websites I can work to make them better than they are already. <\/p>\n<p>b) <strong>More frequent updates<\/strong> &#8211; it probably hasn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t gone unnoticed that updates on the UltraSexyHeroines, SuperheroineFilms and SuperheroinePeril websites are a little erratic. They all have content sitting waiting to go live. My job will be to get those photosets and films finished and live<\/p>\n<p>c) <strong>Promotion<\/strong> &#8211; all three websites are not promoting themselves as well as they could be. By promoting them better I hope to get more members, which then means larger budgets for new photosets\/films.<\/p>\n<p>d) <strong>Sharing of resources<\/strong> &#8211; a major benefit to the websites will be the sharing of resources. All websites can now share the expense of the model\/actresses, locations, actors, and more. This of course means larger budgets for new content.<\/p>\n<p>e) <strong>Better support<\/strong> &#8211; I try my best to get back to everyone that emails me (in most cases!), but having talked with the UltraSexyHeroines and SuperheroineFilms.com guys, this isn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t the case. Taking over these websites means that I will be taking over all email support, enquiries and general chat.<\/p>\n<h3>So what do you get out of it?<\/h3>\n<p>As in what do I get out of it? Why am I doing it?<\/p>\n<p>Well, whilst I love the superheroine genre, I love running my website, and I love creating new original content, I still have a family, mortgage, etc. Not to mention my full-time job.<\/p>\n<p>Of course there is the financial reward of taking on these additional websites. However, for the first six months I don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t anticipate on receiving anything from these websites &#8211; they make very little profit, if any at all.<\/p>\n<p>But that is one of my aims: to build these websites into those that create really great content that everyone gets to enjoy.<\/p>\n<h3>When do you start?<\/h3>\n<p>I started to an extent a few months ago. I made an agreement with the UltraSexyHeroines photographer\/owner at the beginning of the year which gave me access to all content, the website, emails, etc.<\/p>\n<p>So I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve been learning and everything about the website, how its updated, how it was previously promoted, etc, etc.<\/p>\n<p>With the SuperheroineFilms and SuperheroinePeril websites only last week did we finalise everything and so I took over the running of those websites officially last Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>So I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve started. But its going to take time before you guys start seeing any significant changes to those websites or the content. My goal is to get as much existing content up and on the websites, and in tandem working on more new and exciting photoshoots and movies.<\/p>\n<h3>What significant changes will I see immediately?<\/h3>\n<p>Over the next few days you will see the following:<\/p>\n<p>a) <strong>Faster websites<\/strong> &#8211; I may be moving all three websites across to my servers. I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve only just got the FTP\/db\/server details for each of them. So if there is any downtime I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ll be notifying members.<\/p>\n<p>b) <strong>Email support<\/strong> &#8211; major change is that I will be doing the email support for all three websites plus my own SuperSexyHeroines.com website. When you email any of these websites, I will be the one receiving and replying to those emails. To do this I had to set up a new email address so that I could centralise everything &#8211; see below<\/p>\n<p>c) <strong>Centralised email<\/strong> &#8211; because I don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t want to have four different email accounts, I have decided to buy a new domain name and this will be where all email comes through to from now on. The new domain is www.SuperheroineNetwork.com and my email address is jon@<\/p>\n<p>d) <strong>Promotion on my blog<\/strong> &#8211; although I sometimes used my blog to tell everyone about an update on UltraSexyHeroines.com, SuperheroineFilms.com or SuperheroinePeril.com, it was irregular. I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m going to be telling you guys about what\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s happening on those websites more frequently.<\/p>\n<p>e) <strong>On-site promotion<\/strong> &#8211; not sure how I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m going to do it yet, but I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m think of a subtle way of telling users of one website about the other. Or maybe all users know about the other websites. I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m not sure<\/p>\n<p>f) <strong>YouTube channel<\/strong> &#8211; I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m going to be centralising all video clips on YouTube to my channel at http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/superheroines<\/p>\n<h3>What\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s next?<\/h3>\n<p>So, that\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s my news and announcements.<\/p>\n<p>I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m really excited.
