Just been browsing SuperWomenMania.com and saw that in a thread about SuperheroineFilms.com there was something about a Mac being stolen.
I had a look at the SuperheroineFilms.com website and indeed there is a message about how the Mac and a camera were stolen.
Well, taking the positives out of it, at least we know they’re still there. And we can only assume they’ll be updating again in the near future.
They’re saying in a couple of weeks but as I remember the site was about two months late in launching, and since then there have been a lot of problems with timekeeping.
So I guess we can just wait and see. I’m really hoping they get something up soon because I’ve seen these guys working (I helped out on some of the earlier films and I loan them my costumes), and I think in time they’re going to be doing some great stuff.
it’s too bad to hear about the trouble they’ve. they’ve had an impressive start. hopefully they’ll be back and putting some stuff out like in April or something. maybe by the end of March but I’m not getting my hopes up too high with that one considering what a huge setback they’ve had. they’ve gotta be takin it pretty hard. I feel bad. anyways, I also wanted to say Jon that I still think this (your) site is amazing and it’s the best photo based superheroine site on the net in my opinion. the other sites (steeles, heavenly heroines, etc.) have kind of tanked in terms of quality lately but this one is still great and I totally don’t agree with those other guys who have complained, so keep up the good work! and thanks for the heads up on superheroinefilms (they must have just posted that message today). Thanks!!! keep it up!!!
oh I just realized I meant to say the troubles they’ve had.
That’s a nightmare for them….I wish them all the best and I’m still really looking forward to seeing what’s on thse tapes! Perhaps they would consider putting up a couple of stills in the meantime? Just a thought…
Why are they posting the news about the stolen Mac at SuperWomenMania.com, rather than on their own front page? I’d think that sort of news would be the logical thing to replace the “Coming at the end of February” promo on their main page.
Ah, after looking for myself, they HAVE put up a notice on their site. Still, they need us to cancel our subscriptions for ourselves. I’ll see if I can find a silver lining around here somewhere…
I’m not holding my breath on this one, I’m sorry! I hate to be skeptical – especially in light of the good and encouraging content so far – but I do NOT like how they choose to communicate or NOT COMMUNICATE with their customers. Dennis is right in that THEY should be refunding and cancelling, not putting the burden opn the user. Also its been brought up that they should fessed up 6 weeks ago when it was stolen which I agree definitely. A spot of bad luck yes, but I think some of the fallout in falling on them deservedly so!
JackHandy said exactly what I was going to say. This happened six weeks ago–they SHOULD have told everybody six weeks ago so that all the customers could have cancelled at that time. Instead, they’ve basically ripped people off for one or two months of membership fees. That’s a terrible way to build customer loyalty. I hope the site’s owners read this blog.
I joined, received the first two videos, then cancelled. I’m glad that I did. I know it’s been covered here before, but they REALLY need to go to a pay-per-clip method (like the projectsuperwoman site).
Now that is what you call excellent pictures! The picturesets on Project Superwoman are 1600x2400px, i wish they were like this on here and USH!!
Please, please improve image quality and resolution, dial up days are long gone!!
